Sewing Club for beginners

Do you want to learn how to make your own clothes?

Learn how to use a pattern and understand the sewing jargon, darts, tucks, zips, button holes.
It's easier than you might think!

Our monthly sewing club can be joined at any time as it's not an ongoing course.
The group is limited to 4 students per session and students can work at their own pace and chosen project.
More advanced sewers are also welcome to join!

Here are some garment suggestions suitable for beginners.
Should you have a pattern in mind but not sure if it's suitable just get in touch and we're happy to give you advice.
The dressmaking club is every 2nd Saturday of each month from 10am - 3pm

The Victoria Skirt

I am a skirt. A large waistband maintains my gathers and you close me with a zipper and a button at the back. I am knee length but you can play with my length to make me exactly as you want me. Choose from 3 different pocket patterns to create different styles.

The Everyday Chic Dress is a softly fitting A-line shape with a boat neck and V opening neckline. The (optional) smocked panels at the back and under the bust pull it in for a flattering and comfortable fit. It has deep intergrated pockets and generous raglan sleeves.
